At Harkness Premier Jewellers, we would always encourage you to wear and enjoy your jewellery, but accidents happen. If you’re concerned about a scratch, dent, break or missing stone, drop in and we’ll see what can be done. Whether the job is large or small, we’re masters of repair, but we also like to be honest, so if it simply can’t or shouldn’t be fixed, we’ll tell you.
Reset & Replacement Stones
Prevention is always better than cure, but if you have lost a stone we can reset or source a similar stone and replace it. All stones are then checked and secured before returning your piece complete with 12-month guarantee*, providing you with a somewhat priceless peace of mind.
Ring Sizing
Ring sizes seldom last a lifetime, so for whatever reason*, if your ring size has moved up or down, we can resize to ensure a perfectly comfortable fit. Thinning shanks can also be strengthened, giving your rings a fabulous new lease of life.
Claw Wear
Ring and bracelet claws can be tested on a daily basis, and ones that started out perfectly strong and tight can weaken over time, leaving your precious stones and gems at risk. Harkness Premier Jewellers offers a fast and free Claw Check, so we can alert you to any issues and advise if re-tipping is required, to save you from loss.
Everyday Repairs
Bracelets snap, chains break, brooch pins detach and bangles dent. Because these can happen on a regular basis, we ensure our basic repair costs reflect this. So look out your forgotten favourites, and allow us to remind you how much you loved them.
