JEWELLERY WORKSHOP GLASGOW

Our Glasgow jewellery workshop sits in the heart of the city centre on Mitchell Lane, where every piece is designed, made and finished by hand.

Bespoke design, repairs and remodelling, all under one roof, by the people you actually meet.

EVERYTHING UNDER ONE ROOF

A REAL WORKSHOP, NOT A SHOP FRONT.

From CAD and casting to setting, polishing and final finish, the whole process happens at our bench in Glasgow. We don’t send your jewellery away — the jeweller who starts your piece is the one who finishes it.
CRAFT MEETS TECHNOLOGY

TRADITIONAL SKILL, MODERN TOOLS.

Our workshop combines hand craftsmanship with in-house CAD design, 3D printing and multiple laser welders. It lets us take on everything from delicate chain solders to complex bespoke commissions, all completed in-house.
TRAINED AT OUR BENCH

A TEAM YOU CAN TRUST.

Founded by Stuart Harkness in 2014, our team has grown to 23. Around 80% of our jewellers began here as apprentices, trained to Harkness standards. Stuart was named the National Association of Jewellers’ Workshop Jeweller of the Year in 2017.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where is your jewellery workshop in Glasgow?

Our workshop is on the 2nd Floor, 14 Mitchell Lane, in the heart of Glasgow city centre. You are welcome to drop in, or book a no-pressure consultation to talk through a repair, remodel or bespoke piece.

Is your jewellery made in-house?

Yes. Every piece is designed, made and finished by hand at our Glasgow bench. From CAD and casting to setting, polishing and final finish, the whole process happens under one roof, so the jeweller who starts your piece is the one who finishes it.

Do you repair jewellery not bought from Harkness?

Absolutely. Bring any jewellery, whether it is a Harkness piece or not, for a check over. An experienced jeweller will assess it for lifted claws, loose stones or cracks in the metal, and always provide a quotation before any work is carried out.

Can you remodel old or inherited jewellery?

Yes. Using your own gold and gemstones, we can create something new that keeps the sentiment of the original. Your journey starts with a design consultation, where we assess and weigh your jewellery, explore your ideas and provide an initial quote and design suggestions.

Do I need an appointment to visit?

No appointment is needed for a chat or to drop off a repair. For bespoke and remodelling consultations we recommend booking so we can give you our full attention.
